Why rPETG?
100% Recycled PETG (rPETG) is a high-strength material made from post-consumer and post-industrial plastics. It offers a sustainable alternative to PU and EPS foam, delivering durability and performance without petroleum drilling or fiberglass reinforcement.
Stronger & Waterproof, Without Additives
Unlike foam cores, which rely on fiberglass and resin for strength and waterproofing, rPETG is inherently durable and hydrophobic. This eliminates the need for toxic laminations, reducing overall material use and pollution.
No New Petroleum Extraction
Virgin PETG, PU, and EPS foams are petroleum-based, contributing to fossil fuel emissions and environmental degradation. The 100% rPETG we use is made from recycled plastic waste, reducing reliance on nonrenewable resources, diverting plastic from landfills, and preventing microplastic pollution.
Lower CO₂ Emissions
rPETG requires less energy to produce than virgin PETG, avoiding the emissions-heavy processes of petroleum extraction, refining, and polymerization. Studies suggest this can lead to up to a 79% reduction in CO₂ emissions.
